If BBQ is a favorite, you’ll like Red Hot & Blue! My wife and I had the combo rib platter, dry rubbed, hot, and sweet all on one platter. It’s all good. The pulled pork sandwich is always excellent. Located a little south of Grand River Ave., on Novi rd. It’s nice because it’s not with all the other restaurants, so it seems secretive to those who know where it is. I have had short waits to eat, and they have a nice bar. It’s the kind of place that gets loud and fun. The sodas comes in small pitchers, about 40 oz. so you’ll never be bothered by having to get constant refills. Lots of choices of southern sides to add to your entree. You won’t leave hungry. Good place to unwind, with fun atmosphere and music. $$Pros + A good time.Cons – Can’t eat all the food they give you.
Some of the best BBQ in the metro Detroit area. The rib and chicken can’t be beat. My favorite is called the “Gizmo”. It’s ribs, shrimp (just the right amount of breading), fries and bun. The fries are average and the bun is usualy a brick but so what the main dishes more than make up for it. The portions are good sized and should fill even the hearyest appitites. The price for what you get is very fair. If you live Downriver/SW Detroit and get a craving for BBQ get to Zukin’s now! FYI. I agree with all the reviews written on the Memphis Smoke house. Sometimes it?s good, other times (which is mostly I?m afraid) it?s really mediocre or even poor. It?s as if they have different chefs that cook differently on different days. The meat is generally average at best, tough and poorly prepared at worse. The service staff numerous and …uninterested. The only thing going for them is that they are the only BBQ in the general area. If another BBQ place opens up and they are good…..Memphis won?t stay in business long. These people just have a great location which is saving them, but that can change.
