Since I am Polish, I had to try the food here. I am used to the way Grandma made our authentic food so my tastes are a bit different from the way Nye’s makes certain things, but still all very very good. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is definately all orginial. The building and the interior looks like it hasn’t been updated in over 40 years. At 9pm, head over to the bar and listen to the Polka band or enjoy the piano bar. Burned cocktails make you get into the groove early on. Great food, great service, great entertainment. Wide variety of ages in this place, from hipsters to old-timers. You don’t need to be Polish to enjoy Nye’s. Definately something to try if you haven’t already.

I wouldn’t call it a must see. it’s not like there’s bands, or weird under the sea themed decor, and nothing ever happens there. Just a bunch of people sitting around drinking beer and talking. So if that sounds Super exciting to you, then i guess it’s a must see and you and your family can take turns photographing each other in front of the big buck hunter or the bathroom stalls.I go to the cc club because of the patio, the cheap pitchers, the cheeseburgers and the fact that it’s close and there will probably be someone i know there. I don’t go to the cc club because of the sometimes sh*tty service, the typically rude door girl / patio “manager” (she’s quite the stickler) and the juke box that Never changes. and maybe the recycled crowd. it’s just a neighborhood bar, so try not to include it on your “uptown pub crawl.” that would be inappropriate, guyPros + close and cheapCons – rude lady at the door

This place is best for it’s good pub grub and the Irish feel! If your Irish like me you will find no where to feel more at home at! The Shepards Pie, and Fish & Chips are great and you can wash it all down with a pint of cider or gunniss! Live music and good cheer abound every weekend and sometimes throughout the week.

A group of 14 of us dined here on a Tuesday evening (12 June). Since my wife and I were at one end of a long table, I have no idea what the judgment may have been of the other end. For us, though, the entrees were excellent (gnocchi ai quattro formaggi) and transcendent (risotto with chicken and asparagus in a saffron broth). The latter was stunningly good; it had to be due to the broth itself. The first course calamari Genovese (not fried) was, alas, overdone and consequently tough. Another diner mentioned tough calamari in her cioppino. They should know the rule for cooking squid: 45 seconds or 45 minutes. A contorno – a “side” of broccoli rapini – could’ve been tenderer. A molten chocolate cake – increasingly common on menus, to which, as an unapologetic chocoholic, I have no objection at all – was very nice. Prices struck me as reasonable, as did the choices on the menu. The woman who was our server handled the large table with cheerfulness and efficiency, even splitting the tab a
