I ate at Porters on a Sunday evening in Dec 08 and it was pretty packed, but not so crowded that there was a wait. I went with my two toddlers and their grandparents. Really liked the variety on the menu and the chicken cheese steak was excellent. Only negative was the long wait for the food to arrive and their was a bit of an attitude given from the bartender when we asked that they change one of the stations to show a different game. She indicated she’d do it in a few minutes, but then failed to change the channel. I can give her the benefit of the doubt, given the amount of customers she was trying to cover, though she seemed annoyed at my request. My girlfriend and I came here on a Saturday evening for dinner. The service was very friendly and the food was good as well, especially the speciality Irish Coffees that they prepared. The place has two levels, the downstairs dining area and an upstairs lounge that has pool tables, other games and a bar. Prices were reasonable (beers were $3.50). The downstairs level has the front bar and then a separate room for dining as well as tables in the back.
I love this place. It is a great local bar. The menu is a bit limited, however they have the BEST crabcakes (1/2 priced on Thursday night). Mojitos are their speciality drink, however the bartenders know how to make everything under the sun.
