Where is the Best Bar Menu in Baltimore, Maryland?
My girlfriend and I came here on a Saturday evening for dinner. The service was very friendly and the food was good as well, especially the speciality Irish Coffees that they prepared. The place has two levels, the downstairs dining area and an upstairs lounge that has pool tables, other games and a bar. Prices were reasonable (beers were $3.50). The downstairs level has the front bar and then a separate room for dining as well as tables in the back.
Everything from start to finish was amazing. The fried oysters with pernod fennel cream, the crab cakes, the decadent brownie sundae with hazelnut gelato. The service was outstanding, extremely friendly and accomodating. Very knowledgeable, down to earth staff made the meal all the more enjoyable. The atmosphere is very cozy, ecclectic, shabby chic. I felt right at home. 3 people, appetizer, 3 entrees, dessert and a bottle of wine for under $100. You cannot go wrong, and you would be very hard pressed to find a restaurant with such a unique atmosphere and wonderful food. It seems a bit out of the way if you aren’t familiar with the area, but it is so worth it. Make the trip, check out the neighborhood, because there are some really interesting looking bars around there, and then head back to touristy Thames St and the Harbor. This is my new place…Pros + Great Food, Outstanding Service, Great AtmosphereCons – Parking can be tricky, But isn’t it always?
