Where is the Best Bar Menu in Austin, Texas?

As past reviews state, this place is pretty gloomy. The staff are friendlier than stated though. The food was really good, I have to say we recommend it and we only waited 20 minutes (it was lunch time). The burgers are huge, and the fry portions are also very large. The fries with Chili verde and queso are so yummy, a meal in itself with a beer!So the bad part… the bathrooms. Oh my. You can’t expect terry bloth hand towels in a bar but this was just plain ech! It was apparent that in the past 12 hours someone threw up in there. All I could smell was yak with an air freshener trying to mask it. The floors were filthy, everything looked dirty. it was just nasty in there. Thank goodness I had already eaten! If I return I will pledge not to break my seal at this place…

I was in town for the Austin City Limits Festival. We were wandering downtown, and saw Fado’s and decided to give it a shot. It was ok, but I don’t think I would recommend it. I tried to order 3 different Irish beers, and each one got a blank starte from the waiter. We had to ask a few time for our water, and our water felt the need to tell us about how he was supposed to be at the ACL Festival, but had to work. The food was pretty good. Our napkins were damp from not being fully dried, and, while we were wating for our tab, we looked arounf and noticed how dirty the place was. But, the layout of the bar was cool, and it seemed like if there was a bit more effort put into the palce, it could be a rockin place to hang out, day or night.Pros + good locationCons – staff seems to not really care

My husband, 2-year old son & I recently went to Z’Tejas after a friend told us how delicious the food was. We were HIGHLY impressed with the entire visit there! We visited on a Sunday evening & got sat immediately. Our waitress (whose name was April & was VERY knowledgeable about the menu) greeted us quickly & had waters to our table in what seemed like just 1 minute after we sat down! We enjoyed fresh cornbread & chips and queso before our meal arrived. I HIGHLY suggest the Chicken Mac & Cheese (it has a more fancy name than this but I can’t remember it); it wasn’t too spicy & was the melt-in-your-mouth mac & cheese that I wish I could bake at home! My husband had pork & said it was delicious as well! (Try the raspberry hibiscus iced tea for a refreshing summer drink as well!!) All-in-all, I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice, quiet place for dinner. They had a beautiful patio out back that seemed to be popular, but we opted to eat inside this vis

I went to Cedar Door with a large group of friends for a birthday. I’d been to Cedar Door a few years ago and was impressed by the wonderful service. Our server Nichole? was an absolute joy and was very helpful (definitely try the Mexican martinis). The bar was a little busy and crowded, but the atmosphere is great- very down to earth and fun, not at all pretentious like some places. The food was ok, but there are a lot more pro’s than con’s. Highly recommended for it’s charm and great crowd.!Pros + service, atmosphere, parking and Mexican martini’sCons – food menu could use more healthy items

I’ve been here for HH many times but never on a Friday and we never have sat at the bar until this Saturday. My girlfriend and I had dinner here this past Sat. before we went out for the evening and our experience was a “first class, five star” service. The really funny thing were the two bartenders making us laugh because they were joking with one of the guest about not getting them two confuse, one has hair and one doesn’t. The “no hair” guy greeted us and took our order. He went as far as placing napkins down for us. He just didn’t take our order and ran off to make drinks. He made sure we were comfortable and satisfied before he moved on. My comment was, “Wow! VIP treatment”! We both agreed! Both of them checked on us and “no hair” made us an “Asian Love” martini. That was the best drink I ever had made with champagne. As we were sitting there, one thing we both notice was that everyone comes over to this guy and he treats everyone of them with the same courtesy. We’ve b
