Where is the Best Bakery in Seattle, Washington?
i hsve been going to remo’s for years and always ordered the same kind of cake. when my son went to cut his cake it was not the right one .I was so dissapointed. I even repeated to the person a few times for the cake to be chocolate with ice icing and that my son’w name was spelled with 2 LL’s. when i got there it was spelled wrong. they have messed up on the spelling before and they always correceted it right on the spot. But there is no correcting a wrong cake after the bakery is closed for the day. Pros + fast making cakeCons – look carefully on the cake for mispelled name -ask if this is the right type of cake
If you are looking for good piroshkys or good food to eat quickly on the go for around $5 this is a really excellent place to go. its very quick service, so even if the line is out the door there is no need to be put off. I have ate there many times and never had a bad mealPros + great food, quick service, good priceCons – the line is often out the door, not alot of places to sit .
they have THE BEST croissants EVER. the outside i think they glaze it a little so its really crisp, and once you bite in its moist and chewy on the inside with the classic croissant flavor… but theres something else there… have to try it to know. also bought a bunch of other stuff from here. we’re from out of town so we just blindly picked anythign that looked good… and we were not disappointed. one of our other favorites was this sweet onion pastry… sorry dont know the name… but it was to die for. if i was a millionaire… i would come to seattle often JUST FOR THE CROISSANTS!!Pros + croissants
I seem to follow Macrina in Seattle. I first discovered their small bakery when I moved literally across the street in Upper Queen Anne. Now their distribution center and largest cafe is a few blocks from my work in SoDo. There are so many things I love about Macrina from their addictively sweet and flaky morning rolls to their special sandwiches, soups and breads. In SoDo Ben is an awesomely talented Barista, he makes the BEST espresso drinks! For an afternoon pick me up try the huge cookies- warning they disapeer quickly, if you are lucky maybe they’ll have fresh tray right out of the oven. Oh and my other favorite part about Macrina, their day old baskets, filled to the brim with breads and morning treats for 1/2 off. A great deal. Lastly, my newest obsession: the dill scone with whipped cream!Marcina is a Seattle institution but really it’s just my neighborhood bakery.Pros + Morning Rolls, Fantastic BreadsCons – Dry Cupcakes/Cakes
