Where is the Best Bagel in Austin, Texas?
I have had two lunches at Hot Mama’s and absolutely loved both. Ok well I ordered the same thing both times..a turkey sandwich w/ dill mayo(out of this world)..but that is because the first time was so amazing I couldn’t resist a repeat. My friend had an Arawrap..a super fresh and yummy wrap concoted by the owner of Ararat…it was fabulous!! In fact the owner of Ararat came up with a lot of the menu. It is very resonably priced, there are daily specials, and the food is super fresh and served w/ love and a smile. The iced chai was also the BEST I’ve ever had!!! The atmosphere is also great with a cute little courtyard. The inside is a wee bit small, but very clean and comfortable.Pros + great courtyard, great lunch spot, friendly serviceCons – small indoors
Strangely.. the espresso, pasta and desserts are just great at this place. However the ambience and lack of friendly attention from the owner makes this place terrible. The servers almost look like they work in fear. On more than one visit, I witnessed the owner publicly scold his employees. Talk about uncomfortable.. if there were alternative espresso options on this stretch I would not come back to 360..To be very fair, when the owner is not around.. this makes for a very nice place..Pros + Coffee, Desserts.. Classico PaniniCons – Owner’s bad attitude sets the poor ambience
I eat here practically every other day for breakfast and lunch. This place is great! The staff are soo friendly and happy. The service is super quick during the lunch at 12 when I go by for a sandwich. I did find there’s a variety of options to choose from and I simply love the club supreme!! The prices compared to everyone else around me are the most reasonable. You get more bang for the buck. As for the quantity and quality, heck all you got do is ask for more. I’ve done it before, I hate shredded lettuce, and they are super nice to substitute it with romaine. Considering a regular 6 sub is much bigger than the ones you get from Quiznos, subway, or Thundercloud, for only $4.50, all you got do is ask for extra meat and pay $2 more. I did this once for my boyfriend’s order, and it was packed and worth the $2 extra. So in a nut shell, the spot I go to has great product considering the other deli options around. I can get a decent sandwich with the quality better than Subway and
