Where is the Best Auto Repair in Los Angeles, California?
I had a fantastic mechanic for a number of years in the Valley who was honest and trustworthy. When he told me he was relocating his business to Napa Valley, I began to worry about finding another shop that would provide the same high quality, honest service as I had grown accustomed too. Well I found one!!Pulling into the shop, I realized why an appointment was necessary. The shop had two bays and parking was very limited. I was quickly greeted and was brought in to see Dave Frost. He was very personable for a mechanic, which is rare, and stated he would look over the vehicle and phone me by noon. Honestly, I was expecting a call about 4 because what mechanic call back when he says he will. Well, Dave does! He called me early actually and was very clear on explaining the problem. He also made several suggestions and wasn’t pushy about it. He explained all of the costs involved and provided some options as well. I agreed to all the work and felt comfortable with my decision. A day
These guys are that good. Plain and simple. It’s as if the BMW Gods sent an angel (Rene, the Owner) down from heaven on a holy mechanic mission. It is for this reason that they were given the CitySearch Award for Best Mechanic.I have been going to these guys for almost 2 years now to have my 98′ BMW 740IL serviced and have never been disappointed. I have had quotes from the dealerships that were more than twice what they asked. They even changed my oil for free once! They always show you the parts they replaced and on occasion don’t charge for all the small parts or services. They didn’t charge me for a new fan belt to replace the cracked one I had been putting off repairing for too long. I hadn’t even asked them to repair it, they just did it because it needed to be done. Granted, they know me well and I have brought them a few new clients but still… mechanics are supposed to be evil.My Dad brings his 2006 Mercedes E350 for non-warranty service and his girlfriend now brings her
I lost my regular mechanic– so did this city search. I called 4 mechanics and this “Dorie” on the phone was so sweet. So I drove there and thought I needed new brake pads. But they told me NO– you still have 45% good pads left- we can change them if you want.So very honest and then were so nice to help me with other car questions!!! Great place!!!Pros + honest, looked at my car right awayCons – doesn’t really have a customer lounge if you have to sit and wait
I just picked up my Celica today. And what can I say? The car is in better condition now than when it first came out of the Factory. The Hood never lined up properly as a manufacturers defect. But after this body shop worked on the car replacing the front hood and bumper everything lines up perfectly. It’s like driving a brand new car again only better. They even detailed the car wiping off the dust on the Dashboard and all the engine grime under the hood and they waxed everything for free. When I dropped the car off on the first day, ?Sam”, who helped me out there, told me it would take 7 business days. And guess what? It took 7 business days exactly. How about that! A car repair facility that does what they say and says what they do.What’s amazing is that usually car repair shops will not do a good job on what most people consider a cheap car like a Toyota Celica, but on the contrary for this place. They put it back together again profesionally like as if it was a Merce
