Where is the Best Auto Mechanic in Nashville, Tennessee?
After having several problems with my used BMW; I decided to give Auto Tech a try. I read the reviews and wanted to see for myself. I got there at 8:00am and they were already busy working on a bunch of cars that I don?t even see often (Alfa Romeo, Maserati). The Gentleman, which I later found out, is the owner of the shop, greeted me and talked to me about my car. I told him all the problems I was having and he said that he will scan the car at 3pm and call me around 5pm with the diagnosis. I thought because they are so busy it will take a long time to service the car; but boy was I wrong. I could not believe it; he called on time; told me all the issues and promised to have EVERYTHING fixed within the next two days. Sure enough, I got called after two days and my car was ready for pick up. Emil, the owner of Auto Tech explained to me that the car was NOT maintained well in the past which caused all these problems. Auto Tech changed the water pump; the heat control valve; the oil leve
I highly recommend IAM. I’ve been taking my cars there for about 3 yrs now (as long as I’ve lived in Nashville) and they’ve always been very professional and considerate. They always talk to you honestly and candidly, and while they always err on the side of taking the best possible care of your car, if you need to save money they are great about helping you figure out which service items are really ‘necessary’ and which you might be able to put off without harm to other parts of the car (which would obviously mean much more money in the long run). Plus everybody there is friendly, they always give you a courtesy ride to work or wherever you need to go (and the owner doesn’t hesitate to come out and give you the ride if everybody else is busy). They give a 12mo./12,000 mile full warranty on everything they do, and if anything goes wrong (e.g., the occasional mishap where a car gets dinged–has happened to me once, and can happen anytime somebody else has your car) they are completely
These guys are great- honest, excellent customer service, and resonably priced. My normal, trusted mechanic wasn’t able to fix a certain problem on my car, but told me what a fair price for the work would be as I was looking at other mechanics in the area. First, I went to Budget Brakes on Gallatin where after someone looked at my car for 10 minutes quoted me a price that was nearly 3 times as much as my regular mechanic told me it would be!! I then took my car to Greg’s where I received great service and a much, much lower quote. Not only did they fix what was wrong in a prompt manner at a reasonable & fair price, they also replaced my brake light for free and without me mentioning it to them first. Pros + Reasonable, Honest, ThoroughCons – Can’t think of one!
