Decided to give them a try on a 90K mile maintenance, including a timing belt replacement. The car ran OK before they got their hands on it; a few hours later, it ran SO much better it was hard to believe that it was the same car. Immediately left on a road trip (2,500+ miles) and it performed perfectly. Mileage was about 20% better, too. They did not try to talk me in to any questionable extra procedures. Everything that they recommended was explained in understandable language, along with a justification. I was told that some work could be deferred to a future time, and I was not pressured to “do it now” instead. They have a sign

My car broke down and a friend recommeded that I have the mechanics at Lakewood Automotive take a look to see why my car didn’t start. When I arrived within seconds I received some of the fastest service. The mechanics did take the time to explain what the problem was and the pricing was very reasonable. I’m glad that my friend recommended this repair shop and don’t know how much more i would have spent at the dealership and wait a long time to get my car back. By the end of day I was up and running.Pros + Quality Service

I like to work on my own cars, but I can’t fix everything, so occaisionally I have to go to a mechanic for help. There is only one mechanic that I have come to trust to do the job right, and that’s Trowell & Turner. Heck, I live in Oklahoma City but I’ll still drive down to Dallas (car permitting) if I need a repair. I’d rather spend the money in gas once and have the peace-of-mind knowing that I will get the problem fixed right, then gamble on a mechanic here and end up out for the costs of multiple repair sessionsAuto-mechanics normally have a bad reputation, like lawyers, but these guys broke that mold. When I lived in Dallas, I sent everybody I knew to T&T and I never heard anything but praise. They are exceptionally friendly and best of all, they call you with their diagnosis and an estimate before they do any work. They let you know your options before you’re stuck with the bill. AND, they’ll even chauffer you to and from work while your car’s being worked on. I just can’t say

My cars had gone to Dennis Road for many years. It’s the kind of place my parents went to when they were young and now me and my brothers have too. Rosemary is the owner and a nice lady, her dad had started the business many years ago and had a wonderful shop. She took over when he died. Steve was the manager for a long time and a good guy. Now James and Kevin both work as managers. Kevin is very nice and knowledgable about cars. James is sometimes rude and I’ve often thought if the quality of my work is a reflection of his rudeness. He seems to be the main manager. I finally got a new car so I don’t need repair now. The shop can do really good work and always busy, the mechanics are good. I think my concern is the manager. Bottom line, good shop but you may want to have kevin help you.
