Where is the Best Alternative Workout in Houston, Texas?
The only type of exercise I was ever able to stick to was kick boxing but had to stop going because the place went out of business. I was looking online for another kick boxing place and ran across Zumba with Jerry so I figured I would check it out. I went with a coworker the first time and we absolutely LOVED IT!!! I could not believe how exciting and FUN was to be there, the instructors are full of energy and it’s contagious, as soon as we came in Jerry made it a point to come up to us and introduce himself as well as his co-instructors, he took the time to explain to us how everything works and what we can expect from it. We have been going for 3 weeks and it’s been an amazing experience, we always look forward to going to class, Jerry has put a lot of time and effort into making the steps easy to follow and at the same time they really work every single muscle on your body, I feel muscles now that I did not know existed!!! Thanks Jerry what you?ve done here is truly amazing!!!
The school is great. Even though i stopped at green belt its awesome! Master White is the nicest master you’ll ever meet. One of the instructers gave me a nick name and it is Monkey Boy.They teach you grappleing, hapkido,kendo,kicks,and different types of punches. Sometimes they have sleep overs and watergun day. Watergun day is held at a dog and play park near by.They have tournaments so you might have to travel for a tournaments. They have test which is to see if you are worthy to move on to the next belt. If you want to pass the test,move on and get your next belt,you have to entend sparing,come in uniform,make great grades, AND YOU HAVE TO KNOW YOUR BELT FORM. Nathen and Alex are one of the best instructers ever. Master White,Alex,and Nathen are very good at leading the class and helping out. One time a lady had a sezire at the school. I’ve tried hot yoga at numerous studios, including Bikram and sunstone, and hands down, this place ROCKS! The “Your Hot Body” class is a fantastic combination of yoga and pilates moves that works EVERYTHING and melts fat like crazy! The “Hot Hatha” class worked muscles I didn’t even know I had and I felt like I had had a full body massage after I was finished. The heat does take some getting used to, but within a couple of classes, you get accustomed to it and really start to feel the benefits. After years of cycling, swimming, running, and weights, I found something that makes me feel better than I did before, not just right after the workout, but for DAYS afterward! And I’m actually building STRENGTH, not just muscle bulk. To top it all off, the instructors are AMAZING. No drill-sergeants here–friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable instruction with modifications at every step along the way.
