We are regulars at the Bayou and absolutely love Michelle. Whenever we come in, she remebers our favorite drinks and what we like to eat…great customer service. Food is good, beer is good and the bar has good mixed drinks. HOWEVER…my last visit to the Bayou was AWFUL! My waitress (Kim?) told me if I wanted a mixed drink I needed to tell the bartender. Are you kidding me? MY WAITRESS TOLD ME TO GO TO THE BARTENDER FOR SERVICE!! Ok besides one bad experience the place is great. Just ask for Michelle.Pros + Michelle, Sweet Potato FriesCons – Service can lack

While the potential for this pub to be a nice, comfortable, “neighborhood” watering hole is definitely there, the people that run the place ruin all it might otherwise be very appealing. I’ve given this place many chances to prove that it can be what I want; a friendly, casual, no-frills bar that appeals to everyone. Unfortunately the “bouncers,” and bartenders prove over and over again that they should be in any business as long as it doesn’t involve actually having to deal with paying customers. They seem to make an exeption for the group of 5 or 6 of their good friends who always seem to be occupying the right-hand side of the bar. Please, will someone who actually knows how to run a pub hurry and buy this place! I’ll be happy to return then.Pros + location, diverse clientleCons – service, staff, lousy bartending

Played a show here on Jan. 20th during a supposed comedy act featuring Arsenio Hall, Tommy Davidson and others. None of these people were there. How do you put together a show with these big names and close to none of them show? I know its not the bar’s fault, its the promoter Godfrey that organized it. He also promised the Dj money and nothing came of it. Then everyone in the club left around 10:30pm. I was just thinking ‘why’d we even come clear out to 9000 south?’ I’m just glad that no one that I invited came out to the club. At least they offered some free food. Contrary to other posts I’ve read concerning poor service, the service was excellent so thank you. Also one of the waitresses was super hot with the sleeve and peircings; at least we got to take some pictures with her! All in all the bar was cool, but I was just really let down.Pros + hot waitress, big placeCons – no one advertised to be there were there, everyone left

This is a really good sports bar. The whole idea of this place is exactly what it should be; keep the beer coming, make the hamburgers juicy, place a t.v. monitor at every angle, and let everyone get loud and friendly. The place is sort of blue-collar, beer, and hockey oriented (exactly what I need every now and then). The only thing that keeps me from coming here more often is the location. It’s a great spot before or after a hockey game at the nearby E-Center, otherwise it’s a bit of a strange location (surrounded by West Valley City stripmall retail shops).Pros + Service, Menu, T.V. Monitors

I go to red rock almost every weekend, the food is delicious! I usually order the scallops or the flat iron steak, and it is always delicous. I’ve also had their salads and pizzas, which are ok but nothing too special. It is usually very crowded on friday and saturday nights, which makes it extremely difficult to have a conversation. There tends to be lots of loud people drinking. They do have good beers, although usually i order wine and the wine list is rather limited. Service is adequate – it is pretty quick but never too friendly. They seem to focus more on efficiency than making you feel welcome. One complaint i do have is that they used to include a salad or soup with every entree, and now you have to pay an extra $2 to add that onto the meal, which is pretty obnoxious. It is definitely not romantic, and a better option if you’re looking for a bar atmosphere.Pros + great steak, scallops, saladsCons – very noisy!
