Where is the Best After-Work Bar in Providence, Rhode Island?
If longevity counts for anything obviously the Hot Club is doing something right. You get a very good mix of people from suits to jeans from young to old. Reasonable drink prices and decent service. In the summer the deck is open with a seperate bar. The club sits right on the Providence River. I have spent many summer days that started with a few drinks for lunch and found myself leaving at midnight! The only downside is the parking, lot only holds maybe 10-12 cars and on street parking is basically nonexsistent. It also can get very crowded and busy in the summer with winter months being very quite. Pros + On the water, mixed crowdCons – Parking
I came to Cassarino’s with some colleagues of mine recently, and I was very very pleased with our dinner. We were seated at a nice table on the 2nd floor and had friendly, efficient service from a great waitress. Everything came with perfect timing. The menu had all the basics for a solid Italian restaurant, and the portions were huge. Everybody loved their entrees. I found the chicken & escarole soup to be extra fresh and flavorful. I loved the clear broth and torn chicken pieces. The flavors complemented each other perfectly and made for an ideal, uncomplicated soup. I had a special entree with pork tenderloin over pasta in a marsala cream sauce. Prosciutto and tomatoes were mixed in the sauce. The tomatoes tasted great, though the large chunks were a bit confusing, and I wished the pieces of pork were smaller…but I really cannot complain, the taste was out of this world. My colleagues had huge portions of eggplant parm and spaghetti. I’d definitely go back. P
Not only are the wings the best but you can order them to your liking, I especially like the honey/barbeque and plain with all the sauces. They also have a great variety of salads and sandwiches. The portions are large and inexpensive. Great place to mingle with the after work crowd. P.S. Try the Cheesebuger too!Pros + Inexpensive, Free parking, attentive serviceCons – not enough tables
Never had a bad experience @ Trinity Brewhouse, but I’d have to say this past Friday was the best. Went there with a couple friends, we were served quickly, the food was tasty and well-prepared, our waitresses were knowledgeable and kind. The only downside is the parking, as there isn’t much of it! We ended up parking in a lot down the street. A fabulous experience overall… I highly recommend Trinity Brewhouse whether you are looking for a meal, a drink, or both.Pros + kind waitstaff, delicious food, no skimping on drinksCons – minimal parking
