Where is the Best After-Work Bar in Nashville, Tennessee?
We enjoyed some good to great food at Mambu recently. The drinks, however, are not good. We ordered some margaritas and mojitos. The margarita tastes like it comes from a bottle of bad sour mix, the mojitos are the worst I have ever tasted (imagine liquid spearmint gum). We went a backup bottle of wine – too bad it was served at about 85 degrees (note to owner/bar manager: you need to chill white wine and slightly chill red wine to about 55-60 degrees). It’s too bad that you cannot get a great meal and a great drink at Mambu, hopefully they will read this and make it an even better experience!Pros + Food, service, venueCons – Drinks, Drinks, Drinks… Wow.
When i stepped through the doors at Findley’s I felt that I have stepped into Ireland! Friendy service, great beer, and awesome irish favorites. I had the Flatbread and the Shepard’s Pie Highly recommed both. They had live music while I was there. EnyaFace kept the audience going with lively interaction and tons of laughter. Just a note, Findley’s no longer validates parking – Park in the OpryMills parking lot and walk along the wooded path, or you can pay the fee to self park, or valet. I actually live in Nashville and just stayed here for the sake of having a romantic night away from home. Therefore, I can say that maybe for a simple solo business trip this might not be the best choice. However, if all you want is a luxurious weekend and have the ability to splurge a little bit then this is an excellent choice! The staff is very accomodating. I made a special request on an online form and received multiple emails from the concierge about it beforehand. The bathtub is a great size and you can watch tv while relaxing which I really enjoyed. They offer a few different pillow selections- including buckwheat which you don’t see very many places. The room was very large and included a small sitting area. There was a problem with the TVs which isn’t a huge deal to me because I have the same problem at home. The hotel has Directv box there is no Directv box in the room with the tv so the channels are strange and do not match the in-room channel guide. For the price
