Where is the Best After-Work Bar in Nashville, Tennessee?
If you are going out any day of the week for a quick bite, this elegant little restaurant is ideal. The food is always consistent and the fish special is almost always to die for. The pricing is completely reasonable from everything from the apps to the entrees. However, the service is absolutely atrocious. Where did these people come from? Upon entrance, my wife and I were snapped at by the hostess, after she had ignored our presence for approximately 5 minutes. I am terribly sorry to have inconvienced this girl to do her job. After giving her the benefit of the doubt and pleading our case, she snapped again quite rudely that they were on a wait. On a Friday or Saturday night, that is to be expected for a place that is quality, however, we were quite offended at this girl’s manners. Talking to patrons like infants is NOT good customer service. After waiting patiently, we were seated. Thank you very much rude little hostess. However, the food almost made up for her behavior, almost…i
We were looking for something different from the same old, same old that we always go to so we thought we would check out South Street. The food was great! Our server was very attentive, checking back frequently to see how we were doing. We had a variety of dishes and they were all very good. My husband’s only complaint was that his rib/shrimp platter was a bit sparse but my daughter ordered the pumped chicken and it was a half a chicken so hubby was full before we left after eating the rest of her chicken. The crab was a bit pricey for the amount that you got but it was delicious. We will definitely go back.Pros + Fast seating, fast service, great foodCons – Noisy environment (mainly due to a large group of very inconsiderate 30-somethings)
Tribe has really changed since i last been there. it is really peaceful. Not Peaceful like an old age home like the the trax, but just a get away from the drama filled bubble gum babies next door. The bartenders are nice and the people whom go there are just all trying to have a good time. Furthermore, wednesday is dollar wells,so it very inexspensive to get a good buzz. However, wear good shoes cause u will be standing at the bar for a while waiting for your drinks. But I warn you to not order from that blond bartender,I order a blue valium and he poured a glass of water and put some blue food colouring in it. Least thats what it tasted like.Pros + wednesdays and thursdaysCons – long waits, and blue water
don’t get me wrong, I like Mafiaoza’s, but it really isn’t because of the pizza. Tuesday two for one is pretty enticing. But it is hard to get excited about the pizza. two things that make great pizza to me are the crust and sauce. mafiaoza’s has great crust, but the sauce really lacks, the last couple of pizza’s I got barely had any at all. A friend ordered the buschetta and it came as a big loaf of bread with the tomatoes just poured over the top. Not really appetizing. For happy hour go to Mafiaoza’s, but for Pizza go to Angelos Picnic Pizza.
