Great fun, great atmosphere, great food. It was fun just trying to get in. My family and I were in Milwaukee for the weekend, saw The Safe House on this web-site, and decided to find it ourselves. That was half the fun! Once we figured out how to get in–we ordered our lunch–the burgers were phenomenal–and I pride myself on burger expertise. The french fries were the best crinkle cuts I have ever had in my life–so good in fact that I am willing to drive 7 hours to have them again!! We went at lunch time on a Sunday, so there was no pressure to have the password–so I would say this is the best time for tourists looking for a good lunch in a great setting. Exploring the site was a fun way to pass the time while waiting for the food, and leaving. . . well I just hope you get to go there and find out for yourself!! One of the neatest places I have ever eaten in my life!Pros + AtmosphereCons – where to park???

I went to Elsa’s with my fiancĂ© for a Valentine’s Day dinner. I was pleasantly surprised how well we were treated, considering that we weren’t buying their really, really expensive drinks. The waitress was really nice and came to check on us often, and she came quickly to bring us a side of ranch. The burgers were literally the best I’ve ever had. He had the cheeseburger, and I had the Greek maiden burger. They were amazing! They were both very tasty and not overly greasy. The drinks were rather expensive. The cheapest drink I remember seeing on the menu was $6.50, and there were glasses of wine and scotch in the $100s! We had a mimosa, which was very good.Overall, this is a really nice place to go for great food and a comfortable atmosphere.Pros + Great foodCons – A bit pricey

One of the first of the many small plate dining lounges that have opened up in Milwaukee over the past year. Great place for a date! Pros + Ambience and Martinis!Cons – Parking

The proprietor is one of the most knowledgeable when it comes to beer and the local pub scene. Mike also has one of the, if the best beer selections you will find within 30 miles. Occasionally someone is smoking a cigar, but Romans has a good ventilation system and thus, normally it is less smoky the most other bars.
