We read that cafe adobe had the best mex in houston…dont know who wrote that up, but they must have never had mexican food. we went for an early dinner, upon the referral of friend & were sorely disappointed. Our waiter was friendly but a bubble head. He asked us what we wanted and brought some of the drinks incorrect. We asked for 2 appetizers – brought us one and forgot the other. We asked for fajita quesadilla – got groundbeef, told him to leave the sides while he changed it out, but he took it and it took 10 minutes and a reminder for him to ring back the fixed dish. He brought it without sides. We never got refills until we had to ask another waiter. We asked for pickled jalapenos, got fresh. We asked about the other appetizer, and he said oh, do you still want that. We should have said no since we were 1/2 way done wth dinner, but we didnt. I guess the kitchen had made it, but he didnt bring it on time, becasue it was cold. He brought us the billand wewerent even finished eatin

I come here almost once a week for lunch or dinner, and love the place. The head waiter knows me now and talks when I come in, and the rest of the staff is nice. They do tend to take a while when its busy though. Their salsa is really good, and their queso is good too. I didn’t really like the queso flameado, but that is just a matter of taste, others have liked it. I love their combo plate at lunch and their camarones diablos for dinner. The quail is good, but a little greasy here. Also, I’ve never liked any of their pork dishes. It has a cool little patio that is fun to sit and drink on when the Houston weather allows. I don’t like how the lot is valet only, so I park around the corner. Pros + Food, drinks, staff is niceCons – Valet Only Parking, Sometimes a little slow waitstaff

I get mixed feelings about this place because it looks SOOO nice on the inside and there hasn’t been a cover the two Saturdays I went. However, the bouncers try to do that “New York sh*t” with the whole “try to create a line outside by simply not letting people in” thing. For example… I, along with 5 friends approached the door at about 10:30 on a Saturday. No one else was in line, or even on the same block. The (short skinny dude with weird hair who shouldn’t even be allowed to be called a) bouncer asked us if we were “on anyone’s list.” After I said no, he told me we would have to wait for a second, because he needed to give priority to the people who were on the list. We looked around… Still no one nearby. I waited for maybe 45 seconds, then was given the obligatory “just give me a second. I’ll take care of you guys in just a second” stuff. Another friend asked who was throwing the party, and the guy gave the same answer. Real cute, guys. This is Houston. NYC gets a

Taco Milagro is one of those huge tex-mex chains that Houston has to offer, and of the chains, it is probably the best. While I try to stay away from chain restaurants as much as possible, if I ever have to go to one, Taco Milagro is usually where I end up.What really sets Taco Milagro apart from the other chains is the quality of the meats that they use. You can definitely taste flavorful beef and chicken in their dishes, which is a hard thing to find today. Their fajitas are what I’ve ordered every time I’ve gone, and while they tend to skimp on the accompaniments, they’ll happily bring you out some more free of charge. They have a pretty decent Margaritas, but they tend to be on the weak side; I would just stick to the beer. The tortillas are made in house, and you taste the freshness, specially with the decadently large flour tortillas that they have. You should also go ahead and order more tortillas from the start as they are almost certainly not going to bring you enough to fi

Read reviews from citysearch and thought going there for their crawfish special. Service is quick except when seating, no one helps. Waitress comes to us within couple minutes and bring drinks right away. recommend us happy hour specials. very nice. crawfish is great and spicy. We also had a chich philli cheese and it is the best chick sandwich we ever had. Food comes to table quick. Waitress comes by a few time during meal to check on us and replace filled bucket (alot crawfish shells). We had good time there. Will go again.Pros + crawfish, serviceCons – indoor is small, parking
