Where is the Best After-Work Bar in Cleveland, Ohio?
I just went to Blind Pig on Friday and on St. Pat’s because we were looking for hopping places to go while I was visiting Cleveland on West. 6th. I’m not going to comment on Friday because oddly enough, downtown was dead at every club, so we left early. On St. Pat’s it was definitely one of the places to be. Upstairs they had a live band that was fantastic, downstairs they played Top 40. Great really enjoyed the place except for the fact that out of the four bartenders that served me only the last one was competent. I arrived at 7 on St. Pats, understanding that it would be busy and a little chaotic. I went downstairs and it was not that busy. There were people dancing, but the bartenders were obviously not slammed because they kept having personal conversations and ignoring people like me waving credit cards. Food is way below average – several times have had cold (ie frozen!) wings and cold soups. Several items returned as not prepared properly (well done hamburgers brought out rare). Turnover of personnel appears to be a big problem here. We are lcoals and have visited regularly only to have a different server everyt ime almost. Some are good but they move onto better places. Food way below average, high priced beers and poor overall service.
