>>>phone # changing (not currently working)… so call stylist or walk in>>>as pic shows the decor is on point. they are currently remodeling adjacent boutique but the salon is not lacking. After speaking with Porschia over the phone about my concerns and apprehension in trying new salons she eased my tensions and i booked an appt for later in the afternoon. >>>She was most professional, warm, friendly, and patient. She answered all of addtl questions with sound knowledge and patience. From wash to set it was a relaxing experience. (wash then steam condition, blowdry then iron press ($55)) I can’t say how it would have been if the salon was busy, she doesn’t strike me as a talker of trifling topics or actions of rowdy behavior. i believe the neighborhood (new Kirkwood) and salon’s ambiance lends itself to a very nice low key experience. My hair is clean, conditioned, long and silky straight. I am definitely satisfied and will surely return. p.s.- Thanks Porschia. HIGHLIGHTS: invi
While searching for a new hairdresser, I read all of the great reviews Soho Salon has. I was in need of a serious color correction. My last stylist apparently didn’t listen to my needs. I gave her 2 chances to correct my unwanted color, and it only got worse. I made an appointment to see Chad. He walked me through the salon, showing me where everything I could possibly need or want during my visit was. Then we sat at the table, and discussed all of my options for at least 30 minutes. I really liked the fact that I wasn’t rushed through the process. What I thought would take plenty of sessions to correct, was done in just a couple of hours. For the haircut, he shaped it up, with no real big changes. Again, I was there for the color. I left the salon, and couldn’t be happier. I love going to Grow salon and I love my new stylist, Eric. I’ve seen him 4 times now and I’m always happy with the end result. He does an excellent job on my cut and color consistently. We usually do something a little different so I don’t get bored with my hair, but he makes sure I’m comfortable with the changes. I leave the salon feeling great about how I look and knowing my money was well spent. I’ve lived in a few different cities (LA, NYC) so I’ve been forced to find new stylists over the years. I’ve always had a hard time finding someone that is very skilled, has good taste and doesn’t chat me up the entire time I’m in the chair. I love getting my hair done when I can relax, sit back, read and know that my stylist is focused on my hair and not trying to entertain me. Although, Eric is nice and easy to talk to if you feel like talking. The salon has a modern, relaxing and comfortable feel. It is in a cool shopping complex with yummy food nearby (Ducks & Corner Pub) an
