Where is the BERSA Thunder 380 made?
BERSA firearms are manufactured near the city of Ramos Mejia in the province of Buenos Aires, in Argentina. BERSA Sociedad Anomina was founded in 1958 by three Italian immigrants: Benso Bonadimani, Ercole Montini and Savino Caselli. In the Chapterhouse discussion forum, Enrique Solis has posted that the BERSA name is actually taken from the first syllables of the three partners’ first names. BERSA was manufacturing firearms in serious quantities by 1963, and started earnestly exporting the same in the 1980’s. The BERSA Thunder 380 is the direct descendant of the BERSA Series 95 pistol, which in turn descends from BERSA’s all-steel Model 83 (and its double-stack iterations the 84 and 85), which in turn owns the BERSA 383 as an ancestor.
