Where Is The Asian River Ob?
Ob is one of the most important rivers in Western Siberia in Russia. It flows through that part of Russia which lies in North Asia. It is the fourth longest river in the giant country of Russia. The river Ob is formed by the confluence of the Katun River and the Biya some eight miles southwest of Biysk which is in Altai Krai. In turn both these rivers have their source in the Atlay Mountains. The Ob’s mouth is in the Kara Sea and it flows solely in Russia. The Ob River then combines with the large river Irtysh, which originates in China. Therefore its total length from the confluence of the Katun and Biya to its combination with the Irtysh is a total of 2,268 miles or 3,650 km. However the Irtysh is a much longer river than the Ob, measuring a total of 5410 km.
