Where is the application site and how large an area does it cover?

A plan showing the location and boundaries of the application site is available. The overall size of the application site is 11 hectares or 27 acres. The site is located to the north of Ribby Road and immediately to the east of Wrea Green. It stands relatively close to the established visitor and tourist facilities at Ribby Hall which lies east of the site. It is intended that facilities at Greenlands Sports Village will complement, rather than compete with, those at Ribby Hall and indeed the sports village is aimed squarely at the established local community, rather than visitors or tourists.
