Where Is Thames Valley?
Depending on which side of the world you are looking in there is a Thames Valley in the U.K. and another in New Zealand. The Thames Valley in England is described in the general sense and a political or administrative sense. In the general sense it includes the entire region that is drained into the Thames River. From regions west of Cirencester, up to London. In its administrative sense it is used by the Thames Valley Police and includes the areas of Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire. Several bodies besides the police use the official designation including the Magistrates Court Committee, Chamber of Commerce, Thames Valley University and the Thames Valley Business Partnership. In the country of New Zealand in the south-west Pacific Ocean the district of Thames Valley can be found on the banks of the River Waihou (known earlier as the River Thames) south-east of the city of Auckland.
