Where is Shergar. Could he still be about.?
By now, Shergar is certainly dead. If he survived after his kidnapping, he’s dead now since he would be 30 this year and thoroughbreds don’t usually live that long. According to an article that I read, when he was kidnapped, the authorites closed off the country and the terrorists didn’t know where to go with him since they couldn’t smuggle him out, so they machine gunned him to death. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1… It’s an awful end to any horse. Shergar’s legacy will live on with Ferdinand’s and Exceller’s. They’re all horses who never should have died the way they did.
