Where is Separation of Church and State found in the US Constitution and how does the Supreme Court interpret this clause?

Sadly the seperation of church and state has begun to take on a different meaning. When it was first conceived it was set up to keep the government from running the church. This was a good idea because no one wants the government to tell us how to worship. China and Korea today are great examples for what happens when your leaders tell you how and what you can worship. There are people in this country that have twisted the meaning 180 degrees so that the church has no say in what happens in government or that is what they want. If a church talks politics from the pulpit then they risk losing their tax-exempt status. As believers we should have a say in who leads our country especially if those potential leaders don’t share our moral beliefs. The USA, whether they like it or not, was founded with the belief that God should be at the forefront of our government.
