Where is Salem on Days of Our Lives?
I don’t think there is a real answer. I’ve been watching Days for over 15 years and I have never heard it said… However, I’d think it has to be near Chicago to be able to jet back and forth between the coasts. And it seems the drive/flight to Chicago was instantaneous that someone could be in the hospital in Salem and also at a bar in Chicago. Of course since the Green Mountains are in Vermont and there is a Salem in many a state (NH, OR, VA, NJ, IL, IN, WI, FL, AL, ME, MA, MS, etc.) I would also venture a guess of NH however since NH has less people than Chicago, maybe not. I also think the two hour travel might be person specific. It seems some can make it to Chicago, Los Angeles, Italy, NJ, etc. in two hours and for some it takes two days. It is not mode of transportation specific however because flights, drives, trains, and walking can all take the same amt. of time on different occasions. The town of Salem is the setting for the soap opera Days of our Lives. It is located in the Midwestern United States, though the state is never mentioned. Originally set in New England, the vague setting was moved to somewhere in the Midwest in the 1970s. While it is constantly referenced as a town, it features more characteristics of a city; for example it is home of the large, multinational corporations Titan Industries and Basic Black. Interestingly enough, despite its location in the midwest, Salem has a thriving industrial harbor.
