It is approximately 33 miles north of Fraser. Travel on Hwy. 40 to Granby (15 miles) turn north on Hwy. 34 to Grand Lake (16 miles) The park entrance is on Hwy. 34 a few miles above the Village of Grand Lake. It is an especially nice place to visit during the Elk rutting (mating) season in the fall.
