The object currently known as Planet X or Nibiru doesn’t exist. There is no giant planet in the outer solar system with a predicted close encounter with Earth on December 21, 2012 (or any other date). We know this for several reasons: –Nibiru is supposedly 5-10 times the size of Earth. An object that size would have been easily visible in backyard telescopes decades ago. It would also have appeared in the multiple all-sky photographic surveys done since 1950. Since no such object has been seen, no such object exists. –An object as massive as Nibiru is supposed to be would also have a gravitational effect on every other object in the solar system, including planets, moons, comets, asteroids, and space probes.
