Your best bet is to make reservations at a nearby hotel. The Gateway Inn is always full! It primarily services active duty personnel who are incoming or outgoing, or attending a technical school, or those who have a family member in Wilford Hall Medical Center (hospital). If you are Family, Friends or a Spouse of an Airmen graduating from Basic Training, the chances of you getting a room on base is slim to none.
