This is difficult to answer for most new visitors or tourists. Residents of Ontario usually know that Muskoka is north of Toronto and accessed by Highway 400 and Highway 11. See the Muskoka Map. To the south, Muskoka Borders Simcoe County and the Severn River. To the south side of the Severn is mostly Simoce County, and to the North side is Muskoka. To the west, the main border is Tay Township which is also part of Simcoe County. Muskoka also touches on Georgian Bay and the 30,000 Island to the west. To the North Muskoka Borders on the Parry Sound District, and often Muskoka-Parrry Sound are referred as one destination. To the east and north east, North Muskoka includes Lake of Bays and borders on Haliburton County and the Algonquin Park area.
