CCTV footage of PPC suicide attack released By Zakir Hassnain PESHAWAR: Peshawar Press Club (PPC) office bearers showed on Wednesday footage of suicide bombing rocking the press club building. The three-minute footage was filmed by two close-circuit television (CCTV) cameras out of the six installed at the press club. These cameras operate round the clock and record every movement and activity in and outside the press club. The footage showed the suicide bomber knocks at the main gate and the police guard, Riazuddin, steps out of the side room close to the main gate. The constable insists on the body search while the bomber resists and blows himself up killing Riaz, Accountant Mian Iqbal Shah and passerby woman Rubina and wounding club’s computer operator Yasir Jamil and gatekeeper Ayub. A suicide bomber has detonated his explosives outside a press club in Peshawar, in northwest Pakistan. Three people were killed and four others injured in Tuesday’s attack. The Peshawar Press Club is a well-known landmark in the city, and is popular with local and foreign journalists. The attack blew out the press club’s windows, and slightly damaged the gate and several surrounding buildings.
