Kiev is becoming a very popular city for tourism and it is a mere 3.5 hour flight away from Heathrow airport in the UK. Kiev is the capital city of Independent Ukraine. In December 2004 you may have seen the Orange Revolution reported on the news. This passed quickly and was considered trouble free by the press.
