Her father, she said, re-wrote the text on a parchment and stored the original ink-stained document. The original document was signed by members of the People’s Council and Israel’s first Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion. “While I was going through our family archives I saw the Declaration among the old documents this was the Declaration that our family was talking about all those years,” said the woman, who asked to remain anonymous until the matter is settled.
