Where is Ischia?
Ischia is the widest of the Parthenopean islands lying in the Gulf of Naples, opposite to the main city of Naples and the splendid Amalfi Coast. The distance between Ischia and Naples is the same between Ischia and Capri: around 16 miles, so that they form a perfect equilateral triangle. The Ischia island has a surface of 46,33 sq km and a population of approximately 60.000 inhabitants. Its territory is divided into 6 Municipalities: Ischia (also known as Ischia Porto), Casamicciola Terme (its second commercial and tourist port), Lacco Ameno (small tourist harbour), Forio (its third commercial and tourist port), Serrara Fontana (which belongs St. Angelo with its small marina too) and Barano d’Ischia.
