Where is Hilo? Hilo, our beautiful hometown, is located on the island of Hawaii, often called “The Big Island.” The Big Island is the largest of the Hawaiian Islands. Hilo (pronounced “Hee-Low,” NOT “High-Low!”) is on the “wet” side of the island—though we have lots and lots of sunny days, our high average rainfall keeps the area lush and green.
