Where Is Harrogate?
Harrogate lies in the North of England and in the center of the isle of Great Britain. It is a town within the Harrogate district in the county of North Yorkshire. Harrogate originally consisted of just two villages, High and Low Harrogate. The discovery of mineral springs in Harrogate in 1571 by William Slingsby led to the development and popularity of the town as a spa resort. It was patronized by the elite and Royals from all of Europe during the eighteen and nineteen hundreds. Later during the Two World wars it was used as a substitute for the administrative tasks of London when government offices were relocated there. In recent times Harrogate has benefited from the extensive infrastructure, especially buildings that were set up during the World Wars to act as a center of seminars, conferences and exhibitions.
