Where is Half Moon Bay, exactly?
Half Moon Bay is part of the “Coastside” area approximately 20 miles south of San Francisco on Highway 1. It extends from Montara at the north end, through Moss Beach, El Granada, Half Moon Bay and Pescadero at the south end. It includes small family farms, surfing spots, tidepools, a working harbor with fresh fish, excellent shopping and dining, and gorgeous sunsets over the Pacific Ocean. You can reach Palo Alto in about 40 minutes and downtown San Francisco in about 30 minutes, depending on traffic, of course.
