Where Is Graves Park In Sheffield?
Graves Park is a huge parkland region placed in the Southwest of Sheffield. It is in between the districts of Norton, Woodseats and Meadowhead. The park was urbanised by Alderman J.G Graves during the period of 1926 and 1936 with the purpose to guard the thousand year old woodland from structural development. Mr Graves gave the 91.9 hectares park to the city. The park is a combination of open and woodland with rivers going right through it. The park comprises of two valley lakes surrounded by full grown trees. Toward the Northeast side of the park is an animal farm, which plays home to many rare types of cattle’s, pigs, chickens and donkeys. There is a golfing green and bowling green near the Charles Ashmore gate along with a small cottage which mainly severs both the sports.
