Where is Geothermal Energy most commonly found?
Fact is, most geothermal pockets can be found way deep underground in the Earth. Also, most of these geothermal power pockets show no visible signs of existence at ground level. However, when it does make it’s way to the Earth’s surface it becomes extremely visible and can be seen in many different forms. Some of the instances where geothermal power makes its presence seen are: • Volcanoes • Fumaroles • Hot Springs (one of my all-time favorites) • Geysers The largest concentration of geothermal activity is located around what’s known as “The Ring of Fire”, no, not the Johnny Cash song. The ring is located around the outer band of the Pacific Ocean. Most of the geothermal activity in the United States is found in the western states as well as Alaska and Hawaii.
