Flagstaff is located in beautiful Northern Arizona, 144 miles north of Phoenix and approximately 60 miles from the south rim of the Grand Canyon. Flagstaff is the heart of the Coconino National Forest, covered in Ponderosa Pine and surrounded by the San Francisco Peaks and many canyons, lakes and forests. The Coconino National Forest offers a variety of recreational opportunities… hiking and backpacking, trail riding by horse and bicycle, camping and picnicking, boating and fishing, and don’t forget winter activities such as snowshoeing, cross-country and alpine skiing.
