Where is English Jelly making a last gastronomic stand?
I can remember lots of girls, including my sister, eating the condensed jelly in packets to improve their nails. I was unaware of the decline until I found that sales of jelly have plummeted since the BSE crisis as the Gelatin is derived mainly from animal products, bones, cartilage, tendons and other tissues such as skin.
