Where is Ely, Minnesota?
Situated in Northeastern Minnesota, Ely is the gateway to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW) and the hundreds of lakes and rivers within its one million acres. The Superior National Forest is a 3 million acre forest with more than 445,000 acres of lakes and rivers with opportunities for camping, boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, backpacking, and biking in summer, and Nordic and downhill skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, ice fishing, skating, and dog sledding during winter.
