We are a Center of Many Colors “El Centro de Muchos Colores.” Variety and diversity is always better, so we open El Centro to any and all interested participants. El Centro History: • El Centro de Muchos Colores was first established at Fort Lewis College in 1988, under the presidency of Dr. Joel Jones. The original facility was opened in the CUB student memorial lounge, and then was moved to the married housing unit before finding its current home in Berndt Hall. Through various volunteers and instructors, the organization has thrived and has for the first time this year ever hired its first paid coordinator. In 2005, a 20-hour part-time staff position was created to spearhead El Centro de Muchos Colores and make the organization more visible throughout campus and the
