Devizes is a town in England. It is located in the county of north Wiltshire. It is a market town in the county of north Wiltshire. It is best known for the Caen Hill, which has a flight of 29 locks. Caen Hill is located in the Kennet and Avon Hill. The 29 locks of Caen Hill rise to a height of 237 feet in an area covering only two-and-a-half miles. Devizes is home to one of the best breweries in Britain. The name of the town has inspired limerick writers to write many a nonsense verse. A visit to the town of Devizes is incomplete without visiting the Devizes Museum (where the exhibits depict the history of the town), the Canal Wharf (which is dedicated to the history of the Kennet and Avon Canal), the Caen Hill Locks (which has a flight of 29 locks), the Wilton Windmill, the Crofton Beam Engines, Bowood House, Corsham Court, the Lacock Abbey and the Fox Talbot Museum, the White Horses, Woodland Park, Atwell-Wilson Motor Museum, Stonehenge (a World Heritage Site) and Avebury.
