SPRINGFIELD TWP. – A church day-care center is under investigation and facing a class-action lawsuit after allegations surfaced that workers gave children an over-the-counter drug in candy to make them nap. The Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office and Springfield Township police are investigating the day-care center at Covenant Apostolic Church, 7630 View Place Drive, according to a letter Chief David Heimpold sent to children’s parents Monday. Police also personally called each parent.
