Where Is Crosthwaite, Cumbria?
Crosthwaite is a village in the County of Cumbria. Cumbria is located to the extreme north west of England on its border with Scotland. The village of Crosthwaite is to the south east of the lake district in Cumbria. To its west lies the Lake of Windermere. To the north of Crosthwaite is the village of Crook; however the road to cork is crooked and not straight, and the town of Kendal is to the east of Crosthwaite. The name of the town means a clearing in which a cross is situated. St Mary’s church is located in the town and it dates back to the 19th century. One of the ancient pubs in the village is rumored to be haunted. There are also some very picturesque views of the Lyth valley and the entire village is popular amongst campers and trekkers because of its scintillating beauty.
