Colchester is in the region of England called East Anglia, and is situated about 100km north-east of London. The main road from London to East Anglia is the A12. Harwich is about 25km away and from here you can take ferries to Belgium, Holland and North Germany. Dover and the Channel Tunnel are around 110km away, and can easily be reached via the A12, M25 and M2.
