Now we know that another new person will be joining Mr. Stephanopoulos on the couch. Chris Cuomo, the morning show’s news reader, is exiting the show. He will be replaced by JuJu Chang, an ABC News correspondent, according to a person familiar with the plans. The New York Post first reported the change Tuesday afternoon. ABC is said to be in negotiations with Mr. Cuomo about a new position. He could become the co-anchor of the Friday night newsmagazine “20/20.” The program is currently anchored by Elizabeth Vargas. Since joining ABC in 1999, the journalist has frequently spun for liberals and slammed conservatives. Chris Cuomo, one of ABC’s most high profile journalists, has resigned from the company, RadarOnline.com has learned. Cuomo tendered his resignation by email. Cuomo is co-anchor of Good Morning America and a regular contributor to ABC Evening News. Cuomo’s departure comes amid growing speculation that the Good Morning America anchor chair is going to George Stephanopoulos who will take over when Diane Sawyer moves to the Evening News later this month.
