Approximately 1000 miles south of San Diego, Cabo San Lucas (also referred to as Cabo) is a bustling tourist town of 140,000 people, natives and expatriates alike. In conjunction with the city name, you’ll also hear the name Los Cabos. Many people mistakenly believe that this is another name for Cabo San Lucas, but it actually refers to the entire region that includes San Jose del Cabo (the city where you’ll fly in), the Corridor (the stretch of beach front property that extends along Highway 1) and Cabo San Lucas, the beautiful city located at the tip of the peninsula, where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez.
