Plot Details: This opinion reveals major details about the movie”s plot. A messianic figure with an Italian sounding name (Mancusso) comes to Earth in a time period resembling our own. People are healed and there is suddenly peace in many areas where there had been war. Could this be the Christ figure, Jesus come back to earth, or someone else? Many people believe that Jesus has come back and this man is Jesus. Other people are skeptical. Maybe this is an alien from another planet? Or worse, maybe this is the devil pretending to be Jesus? Or…….? There is a small “resistance group” (a lot like the group from the film Matrix) of people who oppose this new man of miracles. They don’t believe that the new healer on earth is holy because he doesn’t want people to read the Bible. *As audience members we already know that Jesus likely would not forbid people to read the Bible and pray. I was hoping the mystery of the new healer in town would last, but the disciples of the Italian Healing
